Dr Christopher Pearce is President of the Whitehorse Division of General Practice and chairs the Information Management Committee of Australian Divisions of General Practice. He has been a GP in both rural and urban environments, and currently practices in eastern Melbourne. He has been active in the IM/IT policy field for many years, serving on the Information Management Strategy Group and latterly on the ill-fated General Practice Computing Group. He has written on various aspects of IM in general practice, and is currently completing a PhD on the impact of computers on the doctor-patient relationship.
